Activism Online Resources

Thank you for your interest in Activism – What’s the Point?  You can access the resources here.

These resources are designed for Year 12 pupils and look at the area of Activism through various different subject areas, crossing the disciplines of Geography, Politics, Sociology and caring for youth mental health. All resources are suitable for use within the classroom or can be set as independent work for pupils at home.

What does ‘activism’ mean to you and what’s the point of it? Protestors in the streets? The defacing and the pulling-down of historical statues? Facebook or Twitter campaigns? Handing out leaflets? Or is asking people to sign a petition your thing? Activism can bring about political, social, and environmental change, but what change, and where? From racism to the rights of refugees, these resources will help you to understand the contemporary world and resistance.
