​This workshop gives students an overview of Criminology, whilst dispelling myths about what people may think it is. It discusses the idea of crime, and what this actually means – before engaging students with prominent psychological, biological, and sociological theories, showing how broad of a field criminology is. The final focus is on prisons and imprisonment, this part encourages students to consider whether the current prison system is achieving its aims.
